Fits my B&S 7kw perfectly but a plastic drive is not a good idea.
This unit is perfect for my 7kw Briggs standby generator, hence I gave 4 stars for the plastic drive gear. It has been 3 days since installation and the gearbox broke on the second day. The 2nd gear with starter also breaks down. So I remove the metal pinion gear from my original starter and put it on this new starter.
