Looks like a great toy and my cat loved playing with it when it worked. However, within three days of purchasing the toy, the chirping went away on its own - it was a continuous, fast, high-pitched chirping that sounded like a ringing in the ears. At first I was able to pick up the toy and lay it down and it stopped chirping, but after a few minutes it started chirping again. In the end there was nothing I could do to calm the toy; it was impossible to stop the rapid chirping. I had to cut up the toy and pull out the batteries. I may have gotten a defective toy, but I would invest a little more money and get one of YOW's catnip toys. They make no noise and in my experience are very durable.
