I have played my machines sporadically for over 20 years and have heard so many incorrect performance claims from so many products but K&N filters are the real deal. Just bought an MKVI Jetta last week and installed a new filter over the weekend. Now I will not claim an awesome HP boost. BUT you will notice an INSTANT difference in throttle response and turbo lag. The engine just breathes better. Faster throttle response, quicker revs and much smoother acceleration. If I do more work on the car I might consider replacing it with a full CAI, but even if I do you'd better believe there will be another K&N in the end. In addition to performance, you'll have a filter that's better than the OEM filter that won't need to be replaced any time soon.
