Review on 🐦 C&S High Energy Suet: Optimize Bird Feeding with This Power-Packed Treat by Turbo Jiles

BEST Value - High energy for our feathered sights

During the winter and when birds seem to be migrating, we keep a few blocks of lard in the food bowls to give our feathered visitors a high calorie meal Offer. . As the weather gets warmer and their natural food becomes more available, we fill the lard feeder less often. I often use a non-melting product when I can find it on sale and when the weather is really hot. The good thing about C&S blocks is that birds LOVE them. Prices are very reasonable. "Cons" are minimal. In warm weather, your hands can get a little greasy handling the dice, but a paper towel is great for drying your hands until you've washed them. The remaining fat is washed off as easily as butter or shortening. The second "minus" is that squirrels also love them and will overeat if you let them. I have tall old trees in my yard. I currently discourage squirrels by hanging the cages from a long wire and placing a baffle over a block of lard (which is about 7 feet off the ground). This worked for a long time, but at least one of the little "villains" finally found a way to slip the wire through the partition and grab the cage as he/she slid past. The current fix works fine so far. After reloading the feeders, I spray the grease and top of the baffle with water, then liberally sprinkle the (cheapest) chili powder over the grease and top of the baffle. So far, so good! The birds love it and the price is good!
