Be sure to use two people as directed in the instructions.
It's not that hard to install yourself but I wish someone else was around it would be a lot easier. Either way, the awning is light enough to hold in place if you're used to doing everything yourself. The screws that come with the kit are pretty much useless unless you have 6" clearance to catch the part that opens them (those are wall anchors). Instead, I used lag screws I had at the store. Took me about 5 minutes to put the awning together, looks pretty solid.
