For those looking for a good all round hub for their MacBook Pro this is the right choice. I travel, I have both an office and a home office and I bought two of them. The main advantage of this hub over other similar (and slightly cheaper) models is the presence of a mini display connector. I have an external monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 and HDMI is not suitable for such a high resolution. It does. My monitor was automatically recognized correctly and there have been no problems to date. I took off a star because, as other reviewers have pointed out, the tolerances on some of the connectors are too tight, resulting in too much insertion/removal force. Since I never have to do this after the first connection, it's not a problem for me, but I would be concerned about wear and tear on the plugs and cables if I kept swapping places.
