Review on πŸ’» 7-in-1 Multi Port USB Splitter: High-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Individual ON/Off Switches and LED Indicators by Carlos Phillips

Nice splitter but may not always work via USB

This splitter is a great thing, but it has some issues with powering devices as well as data transfer. I plugged it into my USB port on the back of my computer and it worked very well for just three devices. I tried connecting two iPads and a flash drive to see if I could sync the device and transfer files. Unfortunately, he couldn't stay connected to all three devices at the same time. He kept breaking off. My guess is that not enough current is going through the splitter. I've also tried using an outlet and charging is a little slow unless the charger is QI or fast charging. I tried that and was able to charge multiple tablets, but this device isn't any faster. They don't charge quickly, but several different items can be charged. The beauty of this is that you can disable the USB ports to save power. The hub has a power plug connection, but the cable is not included with the device. When using this device it gets quite hot. The cable itself isn't very long and is built into the splitter, so you can't replace it if the cable breaks. The switches are fairly sturdy and small, and the device itself is very light. In general, this device does the job. It can charge multiple devices as long as you have the right outlet. Switches are great because they disable ports when you don't need them. The other issue is that this cannot stream at 3.0 speeds and may not have enough power to power multiple devices from the computer's USB port. You also don't get a quick charge through the device, but a basic charge. It does a good job of charging overnight. The blue lighting is pretty bright, which can be distracting, but at least you know what's on and what's off.
