DeLonghi's customer service is not at all - Product broken on delivery

Well I'd rather write an article about how the product works and whether it was effective or not but I never got the "warm up" have put behind them. At first I was happy to get a small space heater with covers to prevent fires. It looked like the right product and I decided to give it my all and buy their premium model over the cheaper models. After unpacking and pulling out the legs, I plugged it in and after about 30 seconds the red "plug" light went out. Plugged it back in and was then able to turn it on, got a full display for about 5 seconds, then all the display went away again. I repeated this for about 10 minutes and decided to call the support service. On the phone with customer support, it initially took almost half an hour until someone was reached. Not the worst line I've ever been on, but bad when you realize the first call agents are just takers. They took my name/number, model number and serial number and then said they would email me where I could send back a receipt confirming my purchase and warranty. The email never arrived. Two days later I called them again, resolved the same issue (I had my case number so it was a little quicker) then they said they needed to email me to reconfirm my warranty. Another day goes by (I also know how to check my spam boxes) and finally one arrives. I quickly attach a PDF with my receipt and any other requested information, but nothing so far. It's been 4 days. I'm still waiting, now I'm trying to get through. All in all I've had this thing for almost 2 weeks now and it still hasn't worked and I'm still trying to get the company to at least talk to me about it. The more my situation develops. if it's true (Update #1) Well that was interesting. This time I got the representative within 5 minutes (yes!) but after reading my file the first thing he told me was to unplug the unit and cut the power cord, take a picture of the cord that was cut and send the picture back to them. um That will be interesting. (never spoken to a tech) (update #2) Another long journey. This time with better results. They finally sent me a new unit (a few months after it all started) but now I have an old unit in the garage with a cut cord, they said just take it to an e-waste center (think it is cheaper to throw). it away). than taking it back and installing it, which should have been easy for them). The new block worked for the box and worked well. For my small 12x15 office, it warms up well enough even in ECO mode and doesn't burn you if you trip over it (i.e. it has enough material around the fins that it heats the room but doesn't heat you). in contact with). However, please note that warming up and heating takes time. It's a little quicker if you start it from ECO mode and then after say 30 minutes press the ECO button to keep the current temperature. I haven't installed my power meter on the unit yet to check the difference in power consumption between Normal and ECO modes and how much it actually costs me per day (because it's summer it's not easy to get good readings). I originally bought this for last winter) --- Overall I like the product when it works. I was very disappointed with DeLonghi's customer service. They eventually fixed the situation, but it took months. Would I buy it again? Probably via a retail store, but there are too many hidden pitfalls through Revain for a product of this size (e.g. dropped on delivery, damaged etc, all possible). This is exactly why I'm starting to avoid Revain for larger/heavier items.
