I ordered this unit for my 1999 Ford F150 when it stopped working. I called my local Ford dealership and got a quote of about $400 plus installation. We'll be practitioners, the cost savings were easy to see and it took about an hour to install after I received the unit. There are many videos on You Tube to get some information before you start. It was easy for me with my experience with cars and building, but anyone can install this block with hand tools. First, make sure your old device has power and all cables are connected. Test first before removing the old block. After the installation was complete, I tested the new block against my old block. Since my passenger window was working, I ran a post-install test to see how fast and reliable this unit was. I compared the two moves up and down and was very close. The new device is slightly slower; due to the smaller engine, but almost invisible to the naked eye. The new block fits into all old hole patterns and, depending on the storage location, fits like a glove. In summary, I highly recommend this block if you are looking to save money.
