When I traded my old bike in for a new one, I still wanted a trunk. Unfortunately, my old Trek replacement rack didn't fit the new bike, it only worked with the MIK system. So instead of spending $130 for a new MIK bag, I reworked my old spare bag, which I really like. By the way, you only need to remove one screw to take out the spring and clip. The rest of the equipment can remain. It was a bit painful to drill through the fabric to install the four screws. But it seems more than certain to me.
