Review on Phosban Filter Media Reactor by Two Little Fishies by Paula Reid

Keep in a tray to prevent wet floors

I've had one of these before and forgot how fragile the soft rubber corners at the top of the lid are. I followed the media's instructions and left it hanging on my palette (not indoors). Everything seemed to be working fine. A few hours later I returned home to wet the parquet. The elbows on top are sagging and not strong enough to hold the hose when the hose is full of water. Replacing the floor next to the tank would be a huge hassle so I live with that. I moved the reactor to the swamp to prevent leaks from hitting the bottom. I used to use a 3/4 inch to inch diameter marker on my old model in another tank and always put it in place. This is under the elbow on the reactor to support the weight of the water. Lesson learned and I hope this helps others avoid leaks.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Very expensive
