I love this machine. This is great for specialty coffees. Here is what I do. First, I mix milk and Vanilla creamer together and heat them up together. I pour the heated milk into a metal or glass cup. Froth that first. Set it aside. I then set the machine to "Specialty" and it will pour 4 oz of coffee into a cup. I use 2T of coffee grounds. When the coffee is done, I turn the lever to "drip stop". I then pour and spoon the hot foamy sweet milk on top of my coffee. It tastes like a cappuccino or latte the coffee shops serve! To clean the froth whisk, put fresh hot distilled water into a clean cup and froth the hot water with it submerged into the water and bring it to just above the surface to spray off and dry the remnants of water. Repeat until clean. The frother is now clean without having to disassemble and wash it in the sink. Do this every time after you use the frother, so milk does not dry on it. Rinse out the grounds basket after each use. Open up the "drip stop". Let the basket air dry slightly open. Oh, and I use distilled water for my drinks. No sediment. No calcium buildup.
