Would have gone with the glass carafe if I'd known.

The thermal carafe version does not have any active heating. If your household drinks all its coffee within an hour or so, or doesn't use any cold milk/cream, then you're probably ok. At my house, we sip the pot for hours, then make more and keep sipping. The coffee gets cooler than I'd like to drink after about 90 minutes (although still hot enough if you take it black). The other problem with the thermal carafe is that there is no way by just looking at it to know if it's empty or not. and…

Pros
  • Coffee Machines
Cons
  • The machine can be temperamental and not work consistently

I have had this coffee maker for just about a year and it's top notch for the price. It's also certified by the SCA. Other certified coffee makers cost double or even triple. They look at things like proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the SCA Golden Cup recommendations. Definitely a little in the weeds but, it does brew a great cup. I also love how I can brew just a standard insulated mugs worth. My wife is not a fan of hot coffee so this is a great feature for…

Pros
  • Great coffee! Very versatile!
Cons
  • The water reservoir is small and needs to be refilled frequently

Wonderful Rich Flavored Coffee

Received as a gift from my hubby for Christmas. Absolutely love it. I prefer a fine grain coffee with the rich flavor setting. Makes a smooth and flavorful coffee without any bitterness. The frothing wand is super simple with a button on the top and comes off and on with ease. I don't notice much difference in flavor from the specialty setting to the rich setting. It is nice to have the option to make a cup, whole pot or half pot. I'm thrilled. I don't need flavored creamers with the coffee…

Pros
  • Good coffee, looks neat, great frother hand, water reservoir too small.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other coffee makers on the market

Makes great specialty coffees like lattes or cappuccinos

I love this machine. This is great for specialty coffees. Here is what I do. First, I mix milk and Vanilla creamer together and heat them up together. I pour the heated milk into a metal or glass cup. Froth that first. Set it aside. I then set the machine to "Specialty" and it will pour 4 oz of coffee into a cup. I use 2T of coffee grounds. When the coffee is done, I turn the lever to "drip stop". I then pour and spoon the hot foamy sweet milk on top of my coffee. It tastes like a cappuccino or

Love this coffee maker, only problem for me is early breakage

I love this coffee maker. I was so excited to buy it for my birthday this year for myself. It has lived up to all that I wanted, except that it broke 7 months in. The issue with that is that Ninja customer service is a bit difficult. It's been a month and I had the wrong replacement part shipped for 24 dollars. They then wanted me to pay 24 more for another part. All of this has to be done while I'm home with the unit, which is difficult. I hope that it is not normal to break this early, but if…

Pros
  • Brews the perfect Yeti Cup of coffee every time!
Cons
  • Can only make one type of coffee at a time

The functions are fun

When I received this it came with a sticker over some of the beverage options. I was going to remove it and toss it but saw it had the ounces on the sticker but not underneath. Kept the sticker and cut off the peel tag, worked great, and the light still shined through the sticker.I found out I like coffee rich. and the specialty option is really nice for getting a shot worth of caffeine, especially if you like lattes better. Still have to play more with the frother. It is just a little spinning

Pros
  • Love the different ways to have my coffee
Cons
  • Might be too complicated for some users

Design flaw leaves algae in the water compartment

I had this 2 years, it was a pain. .It made good tasting coffee but has several design flaws. The water reservoir sometimes leaks into it's base, so when you lift the reservoir a flood of water gushes out. Also, there is a plastic bubble at the bottom of the reservoir that is not accessible when you refill it but water flows through, so algae builds up over time. Even cleaning the reservoir with vinegar won't get rid of it. Also, over time the steam gets more forceful when the water is heated…

Carafe broke 2 months in

Bought 2.5 months ago, today the glass carafe shattered while I was holding it. I’m careful not to keep it hot when it’s dry, we drink the coffee quickly so it doesn’t sit on the warmer. It didn’t get hit on anything, it wasn’t thermal shock (it was cold and empty when it broke). For $150 it really shouldn’t break so soon. I haven’t been able to find a replacement yet, but I can say it won’t be Ninja brand carafe. The coffee maker itself works great, I love everything about it, but I bought it…

Pros
  • Works great and easy to use.
Cons
  • The foldable design makes it difficult to clean

Love love this maker

Best functions on a coffee maker I’ve seen. So many different sizes(sm/med & lg mug. sm/md & lg travel tumbler. Half pot & whole pot)brew options, types, hold temps, times & flavor settings, even ICED coffee!I was hesitant to buy because of price, but I have 8 other Ninja products & all have been top tier. Im so glad I looked past the price & went with what I knew quality has always been(for me). I don’t use the frother, but I did try it & it whipped up some sweetened HWC is 30sec to top my…

Very nice, except. - my new review

This coffee machine is pretty wonderful except the size settings are quite wonky. Look at my photo. I put a pretty nice sized travel mug on it to brew a travel mug sized cup of coffee. I took my dogs out for a walk and came back to that. Also the plain cup setting is also way too much coffee. A standard cup of coffee should be 6 oz. Nothing more. This stinking machine will fill up a 10 oz cup on the smallest setting leaving you no room for cream or anything. Must be careful when using this. I…

Pros
  • It makes coffee fast and no spills when pouring.
Cons
  • The machine is heavy and hard to move around

I actually love this machine!

I didn't think I would like it as much! I'm in love with my iced coffee in my Yeti cup which this machine does an outstanding job on! I never even used to drink iced coffees until I got this! It's sooo good! (4 scoops coffee, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger in the filter unit- brewed on the over ice setting into a travel cup filled with ice and a tablespoon salted caramel zero calories syrup-splash of almond milk if liked)Makes a pot of coffee too which can sit on the brew plate and keep warm…

Pros
  • Everything works well blending Power really good product
Cons
  • Takes a long time to heat up the water

Leaner look and definitely quicker brew.

I love my Ninja CM401 Specialty Coffee Maker! The four brew styles for ground coffee give me so many options, and the results are always delicious. I especially love the fold-away frother, which makes it easy to froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos. The built-in water reservoir is a game changer - I no longer have to refill the water tank while brewing constantly. And the glass carafe is a nice touch - it's easy to clean and looks great on my countertop. Overall, this coffee maker is a…

vg coffee maker for my opinion

Always had single cup brewer, but didn't have one to make a pot. best of both worlds. and don't have to refill with water each time. coffee is hot and rich setting works well.

Pros
  • Fold-away frother: turns hot or cold milk into silky-smooth froth
Cons
  • The machine can be hard to clean overall

Love the versatility! Brew 1 cup or a pot - delicious coffee!

I’ve been a Keurig user for many years. My daughter drinks fully caffeinated coffee, but I’m a decaf drinker. My husband does caffeine in the morning and decaf at night, so we always thought the Keurig was the only option. Then we had to replace a brewer that expired after many years of daily use, and got a Keurig Supreme. Big mistake. It only lasted 2 months before the pump stopped working. Keurig replaced it, and the same thing happened with that one. This happened 3 more times. After a year…

Pros

Cons
  • The machine can be prone to malfunctioning after a short period

Love the versatility!

This coffee maker is great. Easy to set up, love that there are no wasteful paper filters needed. The ability to make one cup right into our mug or a full pot make this a perfect choice for our needs.

Pros
  • Very nice machine
Cons
  • Can be noisy when brewing

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far, it works great

So far, I have used it to make basic coffee, the specialty coffee, and the frother. That's my review. All work great and are easy to clean.

Pros
  • Every day use. The coffee tastes great and easy to clean
Cons
  • Not suitable for large families or gatherings

Classic Coffee Machine 2.0

This is really just a modernized version of the classic coffee machine to me. It does a lot of things well but none of them fantastically. Very very well designed though.I’ve used the froth wand with both creamer and milk and both warm and cold, and it’s a nice touch but you won’t get what a lot of people I’ve seen here expect like at Starbucks. At Starbucks the topping on your coffee is steamed milk and this is not (I believe they also use eggs whites), steaming gives it a lot more solidity so

Pros
  • Impressive Versatility
Cons
  • The machine can be difficult to disassemble

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fell in love with this almost instantly

Super easy to use (and comes with a very useful guide that breaks down which each setting is for), smoothest and most flavorful cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Filter is real easy to clean out, and doesn't take long to brew. Feels like I went to a fancy coffee shop every morning.

Pros
  • No Pods Required: Up to 200 dollars in annual savings using grounds vs. pods Based on a 2.5-cup daily average consumption of popular coffee brands
Cons
  • The coffee pot spout can be too small and cause spills

I love this machine! If it lasts even 2/3's as long as the simple coffee mate I used to have, it will have been worth every penny I spent more.It make just about every size I can imagine if you properly load it, making it ideal for some one like me: who some days wants the full pot because they are working from home, and others just wants a quick cup on the way out the door. I've tested it, but look forward to longer term using the setting meant for filling travel tumblers. (I do that more…

Pros
  • Specialty brew: brew super-rich Coffee concentrate that you can use to create delicious lattes, macchiato, cappuccinos, and other coffeehouse-style drinks.
Cons
  • The plastic parts can be flimsy and break easily

Great coffee maker good for me

Enjoy the machine, the only thing I don’t like that for a full carafe you need to fill the container 1/4” from the top, I remove mine and use the water dispenser so the few step walk back base to be slow so you don’t spill.Been using paper filters cause the mesh one lets grinds through with pre package ground coffee

Pros
  • This makes great coffee. Foamer is weak, but not that important to me.
Cons
  • The brew strength is not adjustable
