Easy and pleasant. in belt

Well on my first 3.0L caravan the belt never fell off so I was lucky. I needed a new tensioner, but at $79 I figured a kit would be best. Well built and easy to install. I will explain step by step how I did it. Tools needed: JackJack 15mm flat socket 12 or 3/8 point 15mm deep socket 12 or 3/8 point 10mm deep socket 3/8 ratchet 3 /8-breaker (optional) Instructions: 1) Disconnect Pos+ or neg- battery cables. 2) Lift the passenger side of the vehicle by the frame rail. 3) PLACE THE STAND UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. 4) Use breakers 3/8 and 15 mm. flat head for removing the old belt. (Could use a ratchet, the breaker gave me more leverage.) 5) Use a 15mm flat socket and ratchet to remove the idler pulley. 6) Use a 15mm socket wrench to remove the REAR alternator bolt. 7) Use a 15mm flat socket to remove the front bolt on the alternator. .8) Rotate the alternator to access the connector and output wire. 9) Disconnect the plug from the alternator, use a 10mm socket to remove the output wire. 10) Tilt the generator to remove it from the car. ) Use a 15mm deep socket to remove the tensioner. 12) Install the tensioner with the factory nut. 13) Install the idler pulley with the new screw provided. 14) Reinstall the alternator by reversing the above steps. 15) Pass the belt from above over the alternator under the idler pulley and secure the belt with a piece of wire/tie to prevent it from falling off. 16) Go under the car (you have a stand under it right?) and run a strap around the crank and power steering pulleys. 17) At the top of the motor, use a 15mm flat socket and breaker (or ratchet) to turn the tensioner clockwise. 18) The belt will be taut but it will go, I put it on the tensioner last but some people say it's easier to put it on the tensioner last. 19) Connect the battery. 20) Observe the car and make sure the belt is working properly on all pulleys. 21) Celebrations. This took about 20 minutes. Although I have pretty good mechanical skills.
