Technical support in my assessment if needed.

In case you're wondering, this part requires a 12-point, 1 1/16 inch deep socket for replacement; and you will most likely have to sand the outside of the socket unless you get a thin walled socket. Unless you have a thin wall bushing or grind down the walls of a standard bushing you will not be able to mount the bushing onto the nut or break the plastic bushings on the rocker arms. My solenoids 4 and 6 were bad. You can test this by disconnecting the wires from the solenoids and measuring the resistance. The resistance must be less than 1 ohm. 6 measured 90 and 4 measured 2.6. I ordered 3 solenoids in case 1 doesn't work but they worked fine and now I have an extra to keep in my truck if it happens again. Replacement should take no more than an hour, and there is no need to remove the valve cover-side hoses.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
