Review on ๐Ÿบ Wolfwhoop PW-D Control Buck Converter: Efficient 6-24V to 5V 1.5A Power Inverter Volt Stabilizer by Mark Bishop

Revainrating 4 out of 5

probably smaller than you think

These things are ridiculously small. I've included a photo of all 4 on a 5mm square grid alongside some common objects: - a US quarter - some Dupont breadboard wires - a thermistor with a standard size 2-pin JST-XH socket. I was expecting these things to be wired. It's a standard two-pin JST-XH connector, not some ridiculous 1/4 scale version of it. In order to do anything with them, I'll have to turn that ending into something fairly ordinary. The wires are also very small, but probably not dangerous. Roughly I would say 20AWG, stranded. Red JST battery connector on the 6-24V side, at least standard size. Regarding actual function: I tested one by powering it with stable 12 VDC from a modified ATX power supply. . It could deliver about 1500 microamps with no noticeable heating. That's all I need, so I didn't insist. The voltage is fairly stable around 5V; definitely better than the Arduino Nano's onboard 5V output

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I doubt it
