Review on 🔧 TEKTON 5547: Powerful 4 Ton Dual Gear Power Puller for Effective Lifting and Towing by Todd Phillips

I rarely have to give a bad review, but I am very disappointed with this product. I received the goods quickly, this is not a problem. I decided to try the fallback (Tekton 5547) so I would be familiar and ready to use it properly should the opportunity arise when I might need it. Well, after about an hour or so, yes after following the instructions and even watching youtube videos to make sure I didn't miss a single step, we were unable to unwind the cable from the reel. Finally, we had to lift the cable guide and use a large screwdriver to wedge the cable wedged between the cable guide and the frame. I thought that after the initial release it would solve the problem, but it doesn't. It became clear that this was a design flaw. The cable always gets stuck in the same place. It has taken us a grueling process to peel it off every time. This is unacceptable for emergency equipment that needs to be reliable and ready when needed, this product has failed to prove either. I should know better - you get what you pay for and for gadgets I might need in a stressful situation isn't the best time to cut costs. lesson repeated. I am returning this puller for a refund which I will replace in a better quality puller that works as intended.
