I'm a computer repairer and these are the only non-SSD drives I'll be using. Recently I've noticed an unusually high failure rate when replacing WD drives. Seagate seems to have taken the crown recently. Another tip: The smaller the disk, the less densely packed your data is and the lower the failure rate. I can't get anyone to confirm this fact, but for the past five years in my business it seems true. If you don't store a lot of RAW images or video files, buy the smallest disc possible for the longest possible life. All in all, this is a great, reliable hard drive at a reasonable price.
