Great alternative to more expensive filters.

Fits the application exactly, arrived as expected. I use it in my 2010 CVPI Interceptor and no recalibration is required. I've already seen better mileage around town and on the highway with a very noticeable improvement from idling to above the most commonly used mid-range RPMs. The cold air intake that the Interceptors come with and the larger throttle body are of course louder than the usual setups used on Marquis and Crown Victorias for the general public. CVPIs were not available to the general public until they went out of production after 2011. But actually it's not. noticed an intake noise that was too loud, but immediately heard a difference in the exhaust noise, not to the point of an annoying bark, but a stronger pulse balancing noise just telling the ears it's doing its thing. This is my second CVPI after 7 years of excellent service with the Highway Patrol in 2007. It was a very reliable high performance car for a 4200lb 4 door. This 2010 already had more power than previous models with a different setup, transmission shift points, line pressure etc. Then, after new spark plugs and a filter, it drove a few miles on the freeway, cleared it up and can still smash the doors of newer cars no problems with the same differential ratio that my older one had. The Tghey came with a City or Highway transmission, I had both set up for the highway and was only revving 2000 at 70mph with a 5800rpm redline.

Pros
  • LOW MAINTENANCE DESIGN: 50,000 miles to first wash under normal road driving conditions.
Cons
  • unreliable
