Review on 💡 BV-Tech 5 Port Gigabit PoE Switch: 4 PoE Ports + 1 Uplink – 65W – 802.3af/at by Anthony Heinrichs

Update: I have upgraded my rating to 4 stars due to some issues and the great customer service I received from BV. They replaced my broken switches and so far everything is working. I must have received a bad batch but overall I'm happy with the company. I bought over 10 of these to try and save money on my CCTV system on my farm. When they worked I got a lot of false negatives which I assumed were my cables. Changed cables 3-4 times without success. Replaced the camera and everything works. Thought it was a camera but found later that all my cables were working fine (cable tester) and the cameras were fine (powered by other POE devices). The problem was a switch that randomly didn't turn on the POE cameras, and when I moved it another switch turned on. The same switch that wouldn't turn the camera on, if I turned it off and on enough times, it would eventually turn it on and see it. They are in the box behind the surge protector. Some stopped working after a week of service and others after 2 months. When I turn on the device the lights are on all the time no matter what is plugged in or not. It does not power my POE devices, nor does it connect my network. In this case, using the cheapest product for gigabit switches is NOT worthwhile. I'm sad that I can't return some of them as they aren't in the return window.
