Works with standard dryer circuit and plug, short cord

You can probably see the basic requirements when you look at this product, but just to make sure it is used with a standard dryer plug, technically called NEMA10-30 which is powered by a standard 240 volt, 30 amp, three wire dual circuit. (NOTE THAT CIRCUIT MUST BE DESIGNED FOR THIS CHARGER AS IT CONSUMES ALL THE POWER THAT CIRCUIT TYPE CAN PROVIDE.) I bought this because it can work with my existing 30 amp circuit. To that end, its output is limited to 24 amps - don't buy a 32 amp charger for a 30 amp circuit. There are similar devices (like the 32 amp that Ford ships with Mach-E) that require 240 volts, two 50 amp breakers, and a NEMA 14-50 plug with a FOUR wire circuit to achieve Stage 2 charging reachโ€”these CHAINS AND PLUG are very unusual in the average home. I saved a thousand dollars on electric bills with an old fashioned circuit. When I used a Ford charger with a standard 120 volt plug, it took three days to charge from 20% to 100 volts. This charger works great with Mach-e and is nearly 6 times faster than a Ford charger at voltage level 1. But the cord is only 16.5 feet long, which is far too short - looks like they wanted you an expensive extension cord to sell. Luckily it barely reaches me because the Mach-E charging port is on the front. The car connector is unusually tight on the car - I'm not sure if that's the problem.
