Based on a review I decided to buy these to use on my threaded spout. I had some trouble trying to remove the plastic insert by hand. It's glued. The photo shows the glue strips. But it is possible! First turn the locking screw all the way in or out so that it does not touch the metal body of the spout. I pulled out the channel lock and grabbed it. Then I put these channel caps in a vise and unscrewed the spout with my hands. Ready. If I remember correctly, the thread starts about 4 inches from the back/base of the spout. Make sure your pipe is longer. The Premo pipe appears to be 4.5" - 4.75" for a secure and discreet installation. Looks great. Very important. Tiny hoop to jump into.
