Review on Sony® Blu Ray DiscTM Player BDP BX2 by John Jones

I have two identical BDP-BX2 machines. One is used immediately and is a great machine. Plays every Blu Ray I have. No problem. On the other hand, I downloaded two "firmware" updates from the Sony website. After the first "upgrade" only some Blu-ray discs were played. Now it names all Blu-ray discs as "Invalid Disc" and only plays DVDs. Conclusion: Really good car if you don't update the firmware. Eventually, if you update the firmware, you can turn it into a DVD player. Update 02/28/2013: This car has become quirky. I recently put in a Blu-Ray of one of my favorite movies (which has played multiple times with no problems) and now that disc (unscratched and in perfect condition) is said to be an invalid disc. He did this with another Blu-Ray as well, playing others with no problems.
