I wish I had bought this. I just wanted a straight slicer but thought a split slicer would be interesting. The straight cutter is on top so you can't use it without the part plane - and it keeps the straight cutter from going all the way through. I like to slice to one side, then flip the egg and slice across, effectively dicing it. Now that it "splits" it too, I can't hold the pieces together to cut them. .and parts get stuck in the support frame and are very difficult to pull out. I hate that.
