Be smarter than I was when I bought this lock (or any claw wheel lock). Unless the claws actually go through the spokes or other holes in the rim, they're practically useless. Think about this scenario. You have a claw lock, you lost your keys, there's a situation where you need to move the vehicle immediately (if you get close to a fire, whatever) and you don't care about damage. Think about how you would do it. I would just drive over it with that particular claw and let it drag behind the wheel. Or I would tie him up with wire or rope to keep him off the ground and then drive away. Most of these devices don't fit the hoop snugly, and even if you can fit the hoop firmly, it will still spin. It will rub, but it will rotate. And deflating helps reduce friction (if you care).
