It's hard to say if this will work for you.

I've tried this on 3 different computers with mixed results. My work computer: HP Elitebook 840 g3 - showed up as an unidentified USB device. MSI GS65 Stealth Thin - Immediately made a noise and restarted the computer. 2017 Mac Book Pro 13" - Works added 1 additional workspace. The other HDMI output was a duplicate of the first. Be sure to check the USB-C label on the side of your computer if there is a lightning bolt - or plug icon is. DO NOT plug this device. MSI had a lightning bolt icon, it's just for the charging port. My work computer was labeled with the correct icon but the device wasn't recognized, possibly due to tight security settings on laptops.
