When I found a place to wire this on my 2003 Yukon XL (fuse box to left of brake pedal) it was literally plug and play. It was on sale for $12 so I think it was worth it. Don't get me wrong, crimping isn't necessarily a difficult task, but you do need to make sure you're crimping the right wires the right way. Even at the regular price of $20, I would buy for a worry-free install.
