Spend the extra money and go to the dealer.
Brand new drain plug leaking. Removed the plug, replaced the O-ring and the leak continues. As a result, I went to BMW and asked to replace the cover with the factory cover. It ended up costing me more, plus I had to change the oil again, degrease the entire underside of my car and have the car towed to avoid engine damage. The leak wasn't a drip, it was a squirt, like the area around the drain plug had cracked.
