Review on 69 6025TS Silver Performance Intake Kit by Jason Paredes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall Satisfied: Air Intake

Installation rating: 4 out of 5 stars. I installed this myself and found the instructions to be good (adequate) although not quite right for my machine. It was easy to figure out which hoses went where when the problem started, but you need to keep track of what you're doing when you run into these problems. Performance Rating: 4 stars out of 5 This is in my 2005 Mazda 6 with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine so not exactly a performance machine. The cold air intake benefit is noticeable, and I would say more than I expected. It doesn't make the car something it's not (a racer), but it does make the car more fun to drive overall. Mazda is known for its handling, so adding a little pizzazz really completes the experience. Gas mileage Rating: 2 stars out of 5 The main reason I bought it was to improve gas mileage. He claims about a 10% increase, which I don't think is very accurate. I notice up to 4% max on a good day. It's a bonus but not something I thought I'd sign up for. Initially it was almost 10% because the electrical system was reset. This can affect fuel economy while the computer reprograms itself. We can say that the decrease in mileage after system calibration is not due to cold air intake. I wouldn't blame you. My rating reflects the value of the component to me and possibly other buyers like me looking to improve fuel economy. Don't expect 10% and it might be worth it. Overall rating: 3 stars. It has more to do with gas mileage as that was the main reason as I said above. If you need more power, rate my review 4 stars and enjoy your new peppy spirit! If you're looking to increase fuel economy then you know what you're getting. Maximum 4% from my experience. Thank you for reading.
