I ordered a motor for the driver's side. The description of the engine suggested that the engine was universal, but in fact the engine in the form in which it was supplied was a passenger engine. He came up with installing it upside down which meant the polarity was reversed - the up button was etc. I was able to unplug the wires and reverse the polarity to get it working properly. The instructions say nothing about the problem with the switch. Also, as other reviewers pointed out, only two of the three mounting holes matched the holes in the door panel. I hope two mounting screws will do! The motor has restored the window function, which is good news. I believe the manufacturer should be able to ensure that the mounting holes match the truck model they advertise compatibility with.
