This adapter is one of the few that works stably at high speeds.

My Macbook Pro 2019 sends 165Hz to an external Scepter 25" monitor with this adapter. It is one of the few that supports higher speeds. My screensaver works and I see a real difference in the speed of my external monitor compared to my internal monitor's 60Hz, but you'll need a display port cable that runs at higher speeds (I'm using ASIN B07JJXM4FR 4.1 high-speed cable) and your external monitor should be able to adjust itself to a higher frequency external display runs at a maximum frequency of 165Hz. If your external monitor has external speakers that sound good (mine are tinny), this cable and adapter combo lets you switch to those as the output, but I use an external Bluetooth Soundcore speaker that really improves the sound of my video. Your graphics card must support 4K. I'm very happy with the results I'm getting. If you have all of the above, you will see the difference too. This is a good product.
