quadruple comparison; characteristic consideration Discussion

Summary: Decided to order a Tesla style plasma lighter for my wife's candles and while I was at it decided to buy a few more. I'll cover what factors I considered when ordering these four, as well as some of the features I felt were crucial. Observations: 1) Here are some considerations for each type: a) single or multiple (double or triple) plasma arcs, b) battery size. 2) For long neck design: two options to choose from: a) flexible neck and b) fixed neck. I chose the hard one because it has the added feature of retracting the tip back into the neck for extra protection (I haven't seen one that was both flexible and retractable). The flexible neck is better suited for unusual lighting angles such as a gas grill or stovetop. 3) To carry in your pocket: many functions: a) protruding or recessed plasma tips, b) additional functions such as a flashlight. All the ones I've bought have both a double plasma arc and a protruding tip. I had a feeling that a double arc would have the best lighting abilities. LCFUN - the simplest, without a backlight; an added benefit is that there's no external button to bang into your pocket and drain the battery; this is LCFUN included in my EDC package. The lack of a button is also more waterproof. Both Survival Frog and LOCKED have a basic LED flashlight with three modes (Low, High, Strobe). 4) Other Features: I was looking for some other features: a) removable battery, b) large battery; but chose none of these proposals. Some other features I found were deal breakers: extra safety features like pressing the button three times and then another to finally ignite (it's too much and awkward). Recommendations: There are some applications for which a plasma lighter (as opposed to gas/butane/flame) is not suitable: a) Heat shrink tubing. I'm sure there are others, but this was the only one that came to mind at the moment. For all four: Pros: 7-second cutoff (industry typical); all including USB cable; All bag options included a strap. Cons: Not suitable for all tasks, especially open fire.
