After messing up two cabinet handles with my homemade bracket (one not perfectly positioned and one not quite vertical), I decided to buy this bracket. Seriously, why have I waited so long!? I have remodeled 3 kitchens in the last 2 years and if I had known this light would be so useful I would have bought it 2 years ago. . I haven't had this problem, but I've checked the accuracy a couple of times by pressing the jig during use. I also marked the bracket with a marker (small marker) so you can see at a glance that it's still in the right place. The mount I bought has a stainless steel ruler, so a quick rub with some rubbing alcohol removed my ink stain instantly. The device has no instructions, but at the same time I'm not entirely sure if you need them. I simply inserted the cabinet pull screws into the bushing holes and attached the pull to the bracket to adjust the placement, then tightened the set screws. Since the bushings are metal (brass?) I used them as a drill guide and had no problems. I recommend using clamps to hold the jig in place rather than trying to hold it with your hand while drilling. Take out the cupboard drawer - which makes me very happy. I was also able to move much faster than with the homemade contraption. I love this tool so much that I recommended it to my brother in law who bought it and is also very happy with the purchase. He said he was able to install the handles in his kitchen twice as fast as usual.
