As other reviewers have pointed out, this knife was not finished properly as there was a slight burr on the sharpened edge. Although the knife is actually dangerously sharp, those little burrs tend to grab and tear whatever I'm cutting as I pull the blade through. Cutting tomatoes was a mess. To fix this I took wet 1000 grit sandpaper and very carefully sanded down the burrs (which appear to be on the smooth side of the blade, not the side with the small concave circular cuts). Now - with the burrs gone the knife is just great but I'm surprised at the lack of quality control from the manufacturers as the blade wasn't finished or sharpened properly as I expected.
