I’ve been looking for a while for an air fryer oven and have tried a number of them. They were all lacking in one way or another…until now. I love this Kalorik French Door Maxx Plus oven.Where do I start?!? This oven includes every accessory you will ever need to cook like a pro. It’s the first air fryer oven I’ve come across that includes a ‘grill’ function and a mock grill plate to use with it. It has all the standard stuff as well….air fryer basket…dehydrating racks….pizza rack…baking tray….and a rotisserie spit. And included cookbook is hardcover with lots of usable, easy to understand recipes. And you can even understand the operating instructions the first time you read them….how novel! The only thing lacking is a rotating basket for fries and such. With that accessory, the oven would be perfect. The oven seems well constructed. The stainless steel used is a good grade….not flimsy and easily bent or dented like in a lot of the ovens. The French doors are nice, but they close on their own a bit too easily…and they slam shut at that. It scared my cats the first time it happened. The glass in the doors in only single pane. It would be nice if they were thicker. They would be more solid than they already are.Programming the Kalorik oven is pretty easy. You can choose from the settings on the LED screen when you first power it on by turning the dial. Once you pick a program, you can adjust the preset time or temperature by pressing on the dial and making the adjustment. The nice thing is that there are separate ‘air fryer’ and ‘oven’ buttons as well that give you additional preset cooking programs under each of those categories. The options are pretty much limitless. The Kalorik French Door Maxx Plus cooks very well. The first dish I made….as you can see in the pictures….was my General Tso’s Chicken. In my old air fryer, I set the time at 20 minutes and the temp at 425 and it was done. In this oven it was cooked in half the time. And the chicken was very crispy on the outside…moist inside…and fully heated. I was definitely impressed.I like the fact that this oven does not take up as much counter space as my old one did. I’m very limited in my ‘kitchen real estate’, so that is definitely a plus. I also like the fact that every included accessory can be stored in the oven when you’re done cooking. That’s a big plus with me….everything in one place and not having to try and find room for any of it.One other thing I found I like about this oven is that there are marking on the left door panel which tell which position to put the racks for the various cooking functions. That is super helpful and something I’ve only seen on the expensive ovens.I’m super satisfied with my new Kalorik French Door Maxx Plus oven. It’s well-made….cooks very quick…is relatively easy to operate….and gives you tons of cooking options. I think I made a good choice and recommend it.
