Cast Iron rim comes off on potholders/hands
I agree with most of the reviews. It's lightweight, looks nice, cooks well both on the top of the stove and in the oven; however, yesterday I got the pot out of the oven and noticed black smudges on my pot holders. Checking further, I noticed that the pot has a cast iron rim around the top - just fraction of an inch. I thought it was just decoration. It's the cast iron coming off. I've washed it in the dishwasher and once by hand. Still doing the same thing. Concerned if it's food safe now. Is this normal?
- Received quickly and in great shape. Could not beat the price or quality. Very Happy with this purchase.
- Not suitable for high heat cooking.
