Great upgrade to the original!
Great little boiler upgrade for people like me who live above 10,000 feet. I need a strong boil for 5 minutes or more. Even medium-hard water (136 ppm) cannot keep the small original kettle boiling when full without boiling over. These kettles are taller and the stem really makes a big difference in fill quality and heat retention. High quality silicone and we will use it. It's clear that a TON of thought went into this edition. The thermometer is a bit deceptive as it often looks broken at room temperature. It's not, it's only minutes at 80F. Definitely worth the upgrade and definitely worth the price. hp Don't worry about aluminum. Get an induction model.
