Review on Makita 792299 8 8 Inch Tooth Blade by Danny Nedumaran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Still the best choice for power tool parts and accessories

This blade is still the best choice for Makita's small, handy saw. The thin notch and unique tooth design help you get the most out of your 9.6V battery. It works great when modifying your home entertainment center case. It's a very forgiving blade for plunging and back cutting, with much less kickback than more aggressive carbide blades. The compromise is a slightly lower cutting speed, but slow and stable performance with very clean cuts and minimal material loss. Best for 3/8" materials. or less. If you have one of Makita's 3-3/8" 9.6V circular saws, keep a few on hand. Reasonable price and good durability for a steel blade.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Available in black only
