Best Blade Best Circular Saw Blade

I've tried many blades that claim to be good for plastic, but this one turned out to be the best. It didn't work on the high speed saw. The plastic melted while cutting.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Unreliable

Ideal for trimming vinyl decking

This blade worked well for me with my Makita 12V saw for cutting/slicing vinyl planks up to 2" thick. Longer than that and difficult to cut straight. The blade is very thin.

Pros
  • Absolutely stunning!
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

Optional blade

I ordered this blade with a small Ryobi cordless saw because I wanted to cut veneer. After using it and the original all-purpose blade that came with the veneer saw, I found that the regular blade cuts veneer just as well as the fine serrated blade. It also cuts through the veneer faster and easier.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative

Better than nothing but smaller

One of Makita's saw blades that is almost never made for use with the 3 1/2 inch Cordless Compact Circular Saw Kit. I think this blade will not be the answer to most users' desire to use a multi-tooth blade for fine cutting of various materials without nicks. I think it's better than nothing, but too bad for Makita for selling a tool with so few blades to use with it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not a follower, but a leader!

The product works well despite the very low price. I've used it on light hardwood. After using it on both ends of 4 boards I found the sharpness as well as the ease of pressing remain quite satisfactory. Enough that I can use it again the next day. Now burn out the words as well as wood chips along the path of the blades. When you buy cheap tools, they usually don't last long and don't work well even after several hours of continuous use. However, this is an exception. I am pleased! I am happy…

Still the best choice for power tool parts and accessories

This blade is still the best choice for Makita's small, handy saw. The thin notch and unique tooth design help you get the most out of your 9.6V battery. It works great when modifying your home entertainment center case. It's a very forgiving blade for plunging and back cutting, with much less kickback than more aggressive carbide blades. The compromise is a slightly lower cutting speed, but slow and stable performance with very clean cuts and minimal material loss. Best for 3/8" materials. or…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Available in black only

If you need to cut plastic/acrylic you need this disc!

I work as a carpenter and am repairing a bathtub. We often install acrylic wall panels and splashbacks for baths and showers. Having tried almost every saw and blade combination to cut acrylic sheet without "breaking" it, this is the blade! The thin kerf and no rake/angle make this blade ideal for cutting the 1/8" thick acrylic sheets we use. At $200 a blade it's a real bummer if you blast the cut and the nick and snap just doesn't This blade works so well that I can only cut 1/16th of the edge

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
