I just installed this self closing hinge on my bathroom door. As others have said, installing this hinge can be a bit tricky. A few things complicated my installation: 1. My bathroom door only has 2 hinges, meaning when I removed 1 original hinge there was only 1 other hinge holding the door. I put a rag under the door to keep it from falling, but the door still wobbled. This made it difficult to install a new hinge.2. This loop is only a hair's breadth larger than my old loop so it won't snap back into place. As a result, the hinge did not fit snugly on either the door or the door jamb. After the first hinge installation, my door would not close because the door was tilted. I had to remove the hinge, using a rubber mallet to drive the hinge into place where the old hinge was while trying to secure the door. The door closed properly and it was easy to adjust the tension. By the way, I mounted this hinge on top of the two hinges on my door. If I put this hinge on the bottom of the two hinges, maybe the door would tip and wobble less. If possible, ask a friend or family member to help you with the installation. This job will be easier with two people.
