I originally had an igloo shelter for my guinea pigs Super Pet Igloo Shelter for Guinea Pigs Large Colors may vary. However, my boys (I have 2 piglets) often give up their shelter. Featuring an igloo shape as well as a lock shape, I present the Penn-Plax® Guinea Pig Hideout® Castle, the large raised sections at the top get dirty (inside) when inverted and are very difficult to clean. Because the top of the Living World Dome is flat, the interior is much easier to clean. It also makes better use of the cage's limited space since it doesn't have the entrance tunnel that the igloo and castle have. It's also taller than the products in the middle, they have the same external height but this includes the raised sections mentioned above so the piglets have less height to actually move around in these shelters. With the higher usable height of this dome, my piggies will be less likely to flip this shelter. The only thing that would make it better would be if it were heavier so it's even more tip-resistant. This is still the best product of its kind!
