I was looking for something to calm my anxious hands and a colleague recommended cross stitch. These starter kits are really perfect. They have everything you need except a tire and the material is stiff enough to go without. The printed template makes it easy to know which thread goes where, no counting needed! The included instructions are a bit iffy, it looks like there may have been a translation issue. I was able to fill in the confusing parts with Google and finally got the hang of it. If you look at my photos you will see that everything is a bit messy at the top but it gets better towards the middle. Don't forget to separate the thread - you only need 3 threads instead of six. The print came out 15 minutes after soaking in warm water. This really is the perfect activity if you're not creative (I'm definitely not!) but want to find a creative way to calm your anxiety.
