Review on 🚲 Capstone 2 Bike Carrier Hitch Mount by Paul Rose

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the product match the seller's description?

I have bought 2 of these in the last 2 months, 1 went to my son and 1 to my daughter. Both are used on Rad Rover 70-pound e-bikes. My son and daughter have a pair of 70lb bikes, both have used the hitch to tow a 140lb combined e-bike with no problem. In my son's case, he towed the bike in 7 days of a 1600 mile vacation. I realize that's double the tow hitch's rated capacity, but so far they've held up well. The only problem is that the "coating" of the hook that holds the bike has worn off and is causing scratches on the frame of the bike. , our plan is to replace the "coating" with a rubber car heater hose. Update date: 10/26/18. Not dangerous or crazy, because before I trusted this rack on the back of my SUV with a pair of 70-pound e-bikes, I first tested it on a stock 2-inch receiver that I connected to a 2-inch floor hitch bolted to the wooden floor of an enclosed trailer off the floor, then tied 200 pounds of wood to a bike rack and took it all for a ride down a bumpy gravel road, all holding up well. Also, I know 6 other people among friends and family who own 70lb Rad Rover electric bikes and they all now use Capstone racks to transport their bikes, usually 2 at a time.
