Likes it Hot: 3D Printing Consumables

It seems like regular PLA in every way, except for the fact that it requires slightly higher hot-end temperatures than I'm used to. Although the makeshift tower was at 195, the bottom of the die showing heavy extrusion was at 205. From now on I'm using 210-215, which is a good 10 degrees above my usual. Also, it worked as expected with my default PLA settings. This arrived in much thinner packaging than I usually see and so as you might expect the vacuum packaging was broken. I wasn't in the mood to weigh and dry it to see how much water it absorbed, but it still worked well enough. It will dry properly once it's in my drying box. I would say that the problem here is also the price. The spool is slightly more expensive than other off-brand filaments, and more importantly, it weighs only 750g instead of the usual 1kg. This makes it no less than 25% higher with no noticeable improvement over others. I would say someone will buy this based on the price, color availability and your interest in green technology.
