Review on Enhanced FLIR ONE Pro LT - Android (USB-C) - Professional-Grade Thermal Camera for Smartphones - Featuring VividIR and MSX Image Enhancement Technology by Michael Gonzales

I bought this chamber to help with fan door leak detection and upgrades. After receiving the FIR One Pro camera, I connected it to my phone, drained the battery and charged it according to the instructions. At first glance, the camera worked great. Looking around the living room, you could see cold spots on the ceiling, fireplace, etc. I was very impressed. After the first full charge, which took about 2 hours, I reconnected the camera to the phone, it wouldn't turn on. Coincidentally a few minutes later I got it working again. Then the battery started to show that it was draining 1% every 10 seconds. After it dropped to about 80%, I turned it off and on again. Then the battery dropped by 83% in 10 minutes. i am discouraged So I removed FLIR, put it back on and tried again the next morning. This time I had to inspect the ventilation unit in the attic. Again the FLIR wouldn't turn on, the power button was orange and I couldn't get it to turn green by quickly pressing and holding for 3 seconds, nothing. Once in the attic I pulled out my phone and noticed that FLIR was ON! WTF? So I took a few shots and watched the battery drain quickly from 23%. Then, as I moved around the attic, the FLIR emerged from port and landed somewhat isolated. The point of this story is that if you want to buy it as a novelty to use while sitting on the couch, it will work well. I can't trust its reliability or performance for use in auditing or reporting to customers as it's not intended for normal use as an add-on and I'm not sure it will load when I need it. Good idea, poorly made product.
