Review on Safavieh Vintage Collection Antiqued Oriental by Alicia Aftanas

After doing a lot of research and reading some "don't worry, just buy this rug" reviews, I ordered the 8x10 size. When I picked this thing up and took it out of the box, I was disappointed. Damn, I was beyond disappointed. It was one of the cheapest and most controversial rugs I have ever seen. The lush carpet that I saw in the photos was not there. The print itself looks one-sided and blurry, but the most interesting thing is that there are random blocks with an excessive amount of gray fluff on the carpet, which makes the thing look like strong static electricity in some places. It doesn't go with the overall rug at all, but it's enough to stick out like a sore thumb where it really exists - next to an area of saturated colour. If you're reading this and thinking I'm being a bit harsh for a cheaper rug. I can tell you I wouldn't be happy with my example if it was a third of what I paid for it.
