Considering the price of this rug it is fabulous. A few heavy books in the corners for a few hours and it lays flat. You'll definitely need a rug pad to keep him from moving on the hardwood floor (a Gorilla Grip rug works great). It's bright, a true red, but not too rich as the black around the edges mutes it a bit. It has just a hint of turquoise which is exactly what I was looking for.

Ok I just received this rug and we installed it in our living room. My first reaction was that while I love the colors and the thickness of the rug, the pattern doesn't look as sharp and clear as the photos on Revain. Up close, the pattern looks more complicated and chaotic. I honestly wasn't sure if I liked it. I walked away from where we placed it and kept looking at it. Then it started to grow on me. Great quality for the price. They are made of acrylic (olefin), NOT wool. Although they go well with our wool Afghan rug shown in one of the photos with runners, both in pattern and colour. You MUST use a rug grab, we used them for a few days and my husband almost slipped on one of them. I liked the look of this rug in the pictures on the Revain site. What I got wasn't very good. While I understand there may be variations, I believe this is not handmade.
