It did what I needed but it took some work. I had a lawn mower engine that I accidentally overfilled. Instead of trying to drain the oil from the engine I figured it would be easier to pump it out. This pump did its job. However, the suction side pipe completely collapsed due to the viscosity of the 5W-30 oil I was pumping. To solve this problem I shortened the intake manifold to about 2" and used the crankcase drain tube that came with the 2" intake manifold in place of the full length pipe. The 2 inch piece was too short to break and allowed me to pump out the oil. After I cut the tubing, it took less than 10 minutes. So 4 stars because it did what I needed, but deducted 1 star because of the weak intake manifold.
