Driving a 1997 Cummins 12V that intermittently would not start. I changed the booster pump, everything was fine for a week, and then the same old problem came back. $640 from Dodge? No thank you. The thing was bolted on immediately, with new brackets. Remember that everything is metric and you will need a set of metric allen wrenches to install the rear bolt. Take some extra metric nuts with you when you get the kit as you will lose about 4 trying to reinstall. An $8 stick magnet from Ace Hardware managed to hold the rear nut in place and tighten the bolt on the lever. So far I'm happy to know how much Dodge and Cummins charge for it. The Cummins kit was a 440 and looks exactly the same except for the new brackets. It has 3 flat contacts. Disconnect the plug before ordering, so as not to make a mistake the first time. I'm not sure if it will last twenty years, but at this price I can buy ten and still come out on top.
