When I first installed this solenoid it ran very smoothly and worked great. However, 4 months after installation, my truck suddenly stopped while towing a trailer on a six lane highway. This solenoid was later found to have shorted internally and a fuse in the truck's computer had blown. Luckily the computer was fine. I would definitely not buy it again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Bolts on without a hardware kit (but only costs a few bucks more so extra parts never hurt). Make sure you choose the right orientation (one way works, the other binds and doesn't work for me). Has been working for several months now. My factory solenoid was 20 years old and had 450,000 on it so it had to be disassembled and cleaned. It worked great to get me through at the same time.
